The Cleveland County Health Department received notification that specific lots of the Ellume rapid, at-home COVID-19 test kits have been voluntarily recalled by the manufacturer.
Ellume is advising consumers to visit https://www.ellumecovidtest.com/return/company-announcement to check whether their product is part of the affected lots.
Consumers who attempt to use affected tests will be notified in the Ellume COVID-19 Home Test app that the test has been recalled and disabled. Consumers will be directed to www.ellumecovidtest.com/return to request a product replacement.
As a result, the Cleveland County Health Department is temporarily suspending the distribution of at home COVID-19 test kits for screening purposes. We are diligently working to secure additional Ellume at home test kits with lots that have not been impacted by the recall, or another at home test option to offer residents in the near future. We apologize for the inconvenience.
